Internationally Acclaimed Russian pianist Eleonora Lvov presents a concert Sunday April 6, at Unity of Sarasota. Ms. Lvov, recording artist and winner of many international competitions, performs widely as a soloist with major orchestras and in recitals throughout the world. She is presently en route to her European concert tour. The recital at Unity is a preview of the program Eleonora is taking on a peace mission to Russia and Moldavia. Under the auspices of International Sister Cities Project and the International Youth Parliament Convention, Eleonora and her teenage daughter, Ariella, a gifted pianist in her own right, are going to historic cities of Moscow, Vladimir and others, bringing the message of Peace, cooperation and togetherness for the mutual enrichment of cultures and spirituality — through music and dialogue.
Musically speaking, her program is compellingly cosmopolitan: from a wide variety of countries and cultures come the composers Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Albeniz and Gershwin. A luminous, boldly emotive pianist, with staggering technique, she emanates in everything she does spirituality and ardent passion. So it is particularly appropriate time and place for Eleonora’s recital, as a worldwide prayer vigil drawing millions of people is announced for April 6th. That Sunday at 4pm, at Unity of Sarasota, you can experience emotionally and spiritually charged music played by a world-class pianist who believes that the world can be changed through the expression of Love, music and beauty.
